Cooperative Endeavor Agreement Between

Tangipahoa African American Heritage Museum
And
Southeastern Louisiana University

Through this agreement, Southeastern Louisiana University and the Tangipahoa African American Heritage Museum specify the terms of their collaborative endeavor for the purpose of offering educational programming and outreach activities consistent with the respective missions of the University and Museum. In accordance with this agreement, Southeastern offers the following services and activities in conjunction with the Museum:

  • As appropriate and practicable, Southeastern will develop and offer on-site credit and/or non-credit programming at the Museum, including development of a Geneology Lab.
  • Southeastern will arrange internships, graduate assistantships, and service learning placements for Southeastern students at the museum as appropriate for various courses and programs.
  • Southeastern will provide assistance in pursuing grant funding and sponsorships from public and private organizations in support of joint programming.
  • Southeastern will assist in planning and presenting jointly-sponsored symposia, workshops and/or conferences.
  • As practicable and appropriate, Southeastern will schedule arts and cultural programming at the Museum.
  • Southeastern will provide, as practicable, academic assistance and guidance in planning exhibits and programming at the museum.
  • Upon request by the museum, Southeastern will provide expertise and guidance in the selection of museum professional staff.
  • Southeastern will provide, as practicable, in-kind operational support for the museum, including access to expertise and limited personnel support in such areas as technology and facility planning.
